Hi all, This is Mohammed from Saudi Arabia, I have problem with remote zookeeper over UTP cable, I will explain to you hope you find solutions I'm connected the laptop to the Boreal+ over UTP cable, run zookeeper instaled on my laptop, everything going good, When i trying to add midi fader controller connected to the laptop.. It not shown by midi devices I'm already installed the midi control driver and shown on device manager with its driver
But not showing by zookeeper
Note: the midi control working perfectly if connected directly to the Boreal+ by usb connection
It is not possible to add the multicontroller to the zookeeper machine, I would recommend running Play on your zookeeper if you wanted to do this, then you can add the multicontroller and do your mappings in there to control your main Boreal
Are you running the engine on your play/zookeeper laptop? you need to add the component when the engine is running to your zookeeper/play machine, then your will be able to map the parameters. if you are struggleing to run the engine can you send me a picture of your hippolauncher licencing page?
it looks like you are nearly there on your last picture, you need to use the top multicontroller. in here it is possible to select the Boreal machine, for actionmaps and pin selection. I can see you can see your midi controller in the multicontroller on your play machine.
Let me explain, Zookeeper is just a way of viewing the engine, multicontroller is a component that is added the the engine, and when you add it to the Boreal it is added to that Boreal engine. You then use zookeeper to view the component which is attached to that engine. What you have done by using play is add the component to the machine you want to plug the midi controller into which is not the Boreal, as this is connected over the network you can control the pins of the other engine. if you were just using zookeeper you would just be viewing the engine and it is not possible for the engine to know what is plugged into every zookeeper, therefore plugging in the midi controller into the zookeeper the engine would not see it, so in order for zookeeper to view this you need to add it to the engine component on the machine your are plugged into, this is why i suggested installing play, to allow you to run the engine on your zookeeper machine, you should be able to stop all other components so that it is not using resource on your play machine.
