Some machines are suffering from an issue that when the EDID Force Emulate checkbox has been ticked, it cannot be undone. This leads to the inability to change or remove EDID’s.
To note, this checkbox is generally best avoided.
If you are suffering from this issue, please follow these steps to remedy.
1. Open Windows Run and type ‘regedit’
2. In the program ctrl+f and search for ‘EdidPersistenceIsOn’
3. The value this entry holds should be ‘00’ if anything else right click and select modify and change the value to 00.
4. Restart the machine.
5. The issue should now be resolved.
