I'm trying to 3D map onto a shape. I'm very green at this, so I apologize for my silliness, I'm sure that this is a simple problem with the file. I've imported the C4D model (which is a single mesh) into Shape, and I'm able to get the Hippo to output video to the map. The problem is that it displays a bunch of the exact same image instead of one image across the entire mesh. I've attached a screenshot via imgur below for reference. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or need to enable whether on Shape or C4D to make this work. Hope that someone can help, thanks!
Do I need to add a texture mapper? That seems to be the only way to see the image in full, but that is linear, so I'm not sure that it would help. My particular example above is only 3D blocks, so it would be decent, but I'm not sure that's the solution?
That makes sense as to what I was trying to figure out. I was able to apply the planar prospective texture to the map, and from what I can tell, it appears to work the way expected. This is all hypothetical at the moment, but good to know about the UV map. I'll have to look into that more as I make new models.
