Media Manager Encoding Settings are ignored when uploading files that have already been uploaded in the media manager. Posted by Sumesh Varambhia on 01 September 2014 12:15 PM
Summary: When uploading media into a Hippotizer, the imported media doesn't have the properties as set in the Encoding Settings options. This could result in media files not having the correct properties required for playback on the Hippotizer. This would include audio, transparency and resizing options not being handled correctly but the file being uploaded without any errors.
Cause: This occurs because the file has been uploaded previously with different settings and the Hippotizer picks up this reference instead of using the current encoding settings.
Solution: To resolve this issue, In the media manager, delete all instances of the file and upload again, the current encoding settings will be used.
