Output flickering on Chroma-Q Color Web installations with many universes Posted by Sumesh Varambhia on 28 August 2014 11:46 AM
Summary: On installations setup with Chroma-Q ColorWeb products and Hippotizers, the output or part of the output may flicker.
Solution: On most installations this behaviour occurs because the DMX via ArtNet on the Hippotizer is sending the data too fast causing it to flicker. To resolve this, you need to set the send gap to 1 millisecond.
To do this, work through the following steps; 1. In the ZooKeeper menu, go to Windows|Add HippoNet Overview Advanced. 2. In the HippoNet Overview Advanced window browse to the PixelMapper component of the Hippotizer connected to ArtNet, and then double-click on SendGap. 3. From the dropdown list, select 1 ms, then close the SendGap window.
The flickering should now stop. Applies to software version V3 Applies to hardware version All
