Updating to Hippotizer version 3.2 Posted by Ryan Brown on 20 January 2014 06:28 PM
How to update to Hippotizer Version 3.2 On older Hippotizer hardware, the upgrade to version 3.2 Software can install incorrectly if the "Update Installation" option is used in the installer. If this happens, the X-Fade layer options will not be available in Engine Settings.
It is for this reason that we recommend when upgrading to 3.2 from earlier versions to perform a clean install. It is important to back up all components used in the previous versions at this point. All component data such as Timelines, custom DMX personalities and Pixelmaps will be lost unless they are exported before installing the new software. Please note, that the media will not be affected by this upgrade, however it is a good idea to export the media map before installing new software.
After all the exports have completed, shut down Hippotizer and Zookeeper and un-install the current version. To do this, first uninstall the current Hippotizer Software from All Programs -> Hippotizer -> uninstall, then re-name the C:\hippotizerV3 folder to C:\hippotizerV3_Old.
Now install version 3.2 and import all component settings.
You should now have a happy installation of version 3.2.
