I'm working on a new show that we are going to be rolling out with our new ship in March. The director is calling for the cast to enter the audience and send "iPhone selfie video" to the LED walls. I'm looking into building a Raspberry Pie with a camera and screen to stream the video over wifi. I'm expecting some latency and I'm not too concerned about the video quality. Has anyone ever attempted anything like this before? Any thoughts?
Theres apps out there like Epocam that can get live video to a mac or windows machine.
You could use use Epocam from a phone to computer output it and capture it into the hippo. With mac epocam supports syphon not sure if it directly supports spout on mac. If it does then you could spout it straight into the hippo.
